Studies on the Paeoniae Radix in Korea (Ⅰ)

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study is to develope crude drug resources, and to increase the crop of paeonia root by new, improved cultivation methods.
As to the cultivating methods, we thus far, would summarize was follow:
1) paaeonia grows well in Korean cllimate and weather.
2) The optimum soil for them is concidered to be "Sandy loam."
3) Stable manure and/or compost are quite good as their fertilizer.
4) For the methods of breeding, we used 4 kinds of new " division" method, an obtained satisfactory results as shown in Table 4, in order words, 3-4 times of bredding root and 2 times of medicinal root crops.
